young people @ Sarum House developing within their community

Sarum House is one of the two Andover based residential arms of the Test Valley Foyer. It has 18 bed spaces 2 of which are adapted for the use of clients with disabilities. The project is staffed 24 hours a day by project support staff.

The residents  are young people between the ages of 16-25 years who have become or are threatened with becoming homeless. As well as accommodation, the foyer offers support in areas such as education, finding employment and daily living skills.Sarum House side Residents can stay with us up to 2 years by which time they will have progressed to one of the move-on flats, or to other independent accommodation. During the year, residents took part in a treasure hunt which took them around several of the other projects managed by Alabaré. It was a fun day, enabling the participants to practice skills of planning routes, gathering information and thinking creatively.
